The concept of global culture has forever changed our ideas of stereotypes. People have certain stereotypes they have about others. There was a KFC commercial recently aired in Australia. This commercial was about an Australian fan in a crowd full of excited African fans at a cricket match. The Australian was holding a big bucket of KFC. He gives all the Africans some chicken to calm them down.
I found this commercial offensive towards the Africans because the Australian pretty much said that the fried chicken will quiet the rowdy Africans. This is also a stereotype the people have on the Africans. There were many complaints about this commercial. The commercial was broadcasted around the world, and people could view the video on youtube. So many people became angry with this video that Australia had to take it off the air.
